Functional Nutrition and clinical neuroscience is converging based on the relationships between the brain, metabolic health, and the body’s immune response stressors

Personalized Nutrition for Inflammation & Metabolism
Nutrition recommendations are tailored to clinical needs, symptoms, and tolerance rather than rigid dietary frameworks. Guidance may include macronutrient balance, meal timing, food quality, and nutrient adequacy based on individual presentation.
Sustainable Meal Planning & Lifestyle Support
Meal planning support is practical and flexible, designed to be sustainable rather than prescriptive.

Lifestyle Support
Lifestyle guidance is practical, individualized, and realistic
Lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress physiology, movement, light exposure, and daily routines play a critical role in nervous system and metabolic health.

Jana Jamail, MSc., CNS
Trusted Approach
Jana’s work is best suited for adults with complex, overlapping conditions who value thoughtful clinical reasoning and are seeking a careful, systems-based approach.
Jana has successfully helped clients experiencing chronic, multifactorial health concerns involving the gut, immune system, metabolism, brain, and nervous system.
Trusted Expertise
Jana is a published lead author on research examining mitochondrial dysfunction and GLP-1 physiology, as well as a second publication exploring photobiomodulation (red light therapy) as a multimodal adjunct in anxiety and depression. These projects reflect her broader interest in how energy metabolism, inflammation, and neural signaling intersect in complex mood and neuroimmune conditions
One size does not fit all
Functional nutrition care is informed by:
- Clinical neuroscience training
- Advanced nutrition and metabolic expertise
- Published research as a lead author in peer-reviewed medical journals
- A systems-level understanding of neuroimmune, mitochondrial, and metabolic physiology
- Functional nutrition can be oversaturated with gut-focused and detoxification practices, this work is intentionally distinct.
This approach is best suited for individuals who:
- Have not fully improved with conventional or protocol-driven care
- Want a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach
- Value clinical judgment over checklists
It may not be the right fit for those seeking quick fixes, supplement stacks, or gut-only protocols
Advanced Functional Lab Testing (GI Map, Dutch Test)
Laboratory testing is recommended before starting our consulting to inform clinical decision-making. Testing decisions are based on symptom and clinical presentation and personal history.
Test Types: Two lab tests¹ are included with your first month’s fees.
- Gastrointestinal Map
- Organic Acids Test (OAT)
- Mycotoxin Panel
- Dutch Hormone Testing
¹Additional testing may be recommended when clinically appropriate and require additional fees. The decision to pursue testin is always discussed collaboratively, in advance and based on individual presentation rather than a fixed resting protocol.
Supplement Support
Supplements are used as targeted tools, not as long-term or in excess. Recommendations are made based on individual need, clinical findings, and response, with a focus on appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety.
The goal is to support physiology where needed while avoiding unnecessary complexity or prolonged supplementation when it is no longer indicated.
Investment
- Complimentary first 45-minute consultation prior to program commitment
- $500² per month (four-month minimum to realize results)
- This program provides:
- Front-loaded assessment and up to 75 minute interpretation
- Individualized nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle guidance
- Ongoing 45 minute per month refinement of recommendations based on response
- Ethical spacing of visits without rushing decisions or over-intervening
- Ongoing messaging with Jana through our private portal
Note: Laboratory testing is billed separately when clinically indicated. Initial month will be $1,150 to include 2 lab tests
²Pricing reflects the time, expertise, and clinical reasoning required for complex cases, not volume-based care or standardized protocols. Initial care includes a front-loaded assessment and interpretation phase. For this reason, the first month of care may be priced differently in some cases. This will be discussed transparently during the discovery call.
A Thoughtful Approach for Complex Conditions:
- Type 2 Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome
- Heart Disease
- Gastrointestinal Disorders
- Autoimmune Disorders
